The Delhi School of Communication (DSC) hosted its 32nd Inauguration Ceremony today at Alliance Française, Lodhi Estate. The institute proudly Welcomed Batch XXXII for its flagship two-year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Communication (PGDPC). The event marked a new milestone for the premier institute, which has pioneered Integrated Marketing Communications education since 1995.
The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Ms. Anushka Seth, Head of Communications for Asia – Pacific at the British Council and Guest of Honour Mr. Seshadri Mitra, Marketing Lead with India Global Forum, DSC Alumni batch 2016-18, Gold medallist and Surojit Lahiri Memorial Award Holder – The Trophy for Holistic Excellence.
Chief Guest Ms. Anushka Seth congratulated the students and said: “The communication profession is evolving rapidly, but one thing remains constant – every organisation, every leader and every community depends on trust. Our profession is a force for building understanding, strengthening connections and earning trust through telling stories that connect people, businesses and change, to create a real difference. For more than three decades, the Delhi School of Communication has built a remarkable legacy nurturing communication professionals who combine strategic thinking with creativity and purpose. I hope the students imbibe technical skills to develop curiosity, integrity and empathy to become communicators that people genuinely trust. That’s a career worth investing in”.
Mr. Seshadri Mitra, the Guest of Honour added “A whole world of discovery is waiting for you. You are going to uncover skills you didn't know you possessed, and you are going to find your true voice. Don't hold back. Share your ideas freely, laugh generously, support your peers wholeheartedly, and soak in every single moment. Ten years from now, some of you will stand on this exact stage, look out at a new batch, and realize that today was the day everything changed for the better.”
Dean DSC, Prof. Ramola Kumar, emphasized that building a career is an investment- it requires the passion to learn, unlearn-relearn and merge, thought processes, throughout life. Cheers to “Building Young India, through You.”
DSC continues to solidify its reputation as a top media talent hub. Students will have access to internships and placements at global corporates, including Edelman, Adfactors PR, VML, The Mavericks, FCB, First Partners, Media Mantra, Ogilvy, McCann, Landor, Consocia Advisory, MSL, Rediffusion, Omnicom and Havas Media.
Scholarships and Corporate Recognitions:
To motivate students throughout their academic journey, DSC have several semester-wise scholarships and corporate awards.
The “Maverick of the Year” Award: Instituted in 2024 by organisation The Mavericks, is a coveted award that recognizes outstanding communication talent with a ₹75,000/- prize, a certificate of merit, and a direct job offer at the firm. Corporate Excellence Awards: Special industry awards are also presented by Consocia Advisory and Media Mantra to strengthen & the bridge between academia and industry.
Additionally, DSC also offers Admission awards for an essay competition held during the admission process. The 3 students awarded this year are Mr. Aditya Lali (1st), Ms. Shreya Roy Choudhury(2nd) and Ms. Kriti Singh(3rd). The Scholarship for II nd Semester Topper was presented to Ms. Pihu Mahapatra. She received ₹20,000/-award today. Also few students were appreciated by corporates for their quality of work and dedication displayed during the Internship.
