Union Health Minister to unveil Samagra Shishu Bal Swasthya Karyakram

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda will launch the Samagra Shishu Bal Swasthya Karyakram (SSBSK) at the 16th Central Council of Health and Family Welfare (CCHFW) Conference, marking a major step towards strengthening comprehensive child healthcare services across the country.

The programme aims to provide an integrated framework for child health by focusing on preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative care. It seeks to improve early screening, timely diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for children, while strengthening coordination across different levels of the public healthcare system.

The 16th CCHFW Conference will bring together Union and State health ministers, senior officials and policymakers to deliberate on key public health priorities, review the implementation of flagship health programmes and discuss strategies to improve healthcare delivery across states.

The launch of SSBSK is expected to reinforce the government’s commitment to reducing child morbidity and mortality, enhancing access to quality healthcare services for children and advancing the country’s child health indicators through a comprehensive and integrated approach.
