Connecting Real Estate and Government to Overcome Industry Pain Points
The members of the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Telangana have come together to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the body. First established in 1995, the state chapter of the national NAREDCO body has proven to be a key player in the real estate scenethrough its direct stakeholder engagement. By effectively bridging the gap between government, industry, and consumers, NAREDCO Telangana has played a pivotal role in fostering a transparent, policy-aligned, and growth-oriented real estate environment. Through its flagship annual Property Shows and other industry platforms, the Association has enabled meaningful dialogue, supported policy reforms aligned with infrastructure development, and contributed significantly to the city’s real estate growth story. It safeguards homebuyer interests by promoting transparency, ethical practices, and regulatory awareness, while providing access to credible developers and verified projects—empowering buyers to make informed and confident decisions when purchasing flats, villas, plots, or homes.

Vijaya Sai Meka, President of NAREDCO Telanganacontinued, reminiscing on the Association’s journey in Hyderabad. “It’s been 30 years since we’ve entered the industry, and as members of the National Real Estate Development Council, we have been able to meaningfully contribute to Hyderabad’s real estate growth. Since the early 2010s, through their policy advocacy and events, the members have successfully been able to connect with stakeholders and encourage collaboration between the private and public sector.
From premium residential areas to commercial office spaces, the city has evolved beyond our imagination and NAREDCO Telangana has been crucialtothis journey. By facilitating conversation between various stakeholders, we’ve been able to set realistic expectations between policymakers, buyers, developers, etc. to ensure smooth real estate business within the city and will continue to do so.”
K. Sreedhar Reddy, Secretary General of NAREDCO Telangana added, “It’s been quite the journey as a part of the Association. When the Association was first established in 1995, the real estate market was in economic downturn before the early 2000s with the inauguration of the Cyber Towers. Over the years, there have been plenty of ups and downs in the industry, but even with all the uncertainties, I’m proud to be able to stand here before you all today as a part of NAREDCO Telangana and will continue to serve Hyderabad’sgrowing real estate sector.”
Today, NAREDCO possesses over 300 members, encompassing Telangana’s leading builders and developers – a reflection of NAREDCO’s evolution into a robust self-regulatory body.
As Hyderabad continues to become a premium location for residential and commercial properties, NAREDCO Telangana will continue to provide its services to the state and ensure that its stakeholders grow alongside the metropolitan – and hopefully to see 30 more years.
