Aarav Pandya, a Grade 5  student from Billabong High International School (BHIS) Vadodara, has emerged as a rising star in the realm of robotics in a magnificent exhibition of talent and invention. Aarav competed in the prestigious Robotics Competition organized by OLL / IIT Techfest on December 27th 2023, at the Annual Fest of IIT Bombay.

 

Aarav demonstrated his exceptional skills by securing 1st place in the Line Follower competition and receiving a cash prize of Rs 25,000.The Second position in the Line Follower Competition was also bagged by Dilpreet Singh of Grade 11 Billabong High International school who was also awarded a cash prize of  Rs.15,000. The most noteworthy achievement of Aarav is the creation of the fastest line follower, who completed the track within 33 seconds. He also designed a unique robot that has two robotic arms that can be controlled wirelessly, which may have potential applications in industries, space, and other fields.

Additionally, Aarav Pandya of Grade 5 secured third place and won a cash prize of Rs.10,000 after surpassing 90 participants across the country, in the Ideate on space theme Project Making competition .A remarkable achievement where both the winners were from  Billabong High International School , Vadodara.

 

Additionally, RishirajBehki, BhumikKhatwani of Grade 12, and Dilpreet Singh of Grade 11 from Billabong High International School claimed positions among the top 15 from among 90 schools in the Ideate on space theme Project Making competition.

 

Dinesh Singhvi, Mentor of Aarav Pandya and Founder of IBA The Robotized World, praised Aarav's intellect. He said, “Aarav is a brilliant student with a profound interest in robotics and automation. He has a track record of accomplishment. Last year, he secured 2nd position in the junior category at the National Level Robotics Championship RW 2022. His passion for circuits and coding is unrivaled. Aarav's relentless dedication to innovation and problem-solving mark him as a future leader in the field”.

 

Filled with joy and pride Aarav's mother, Sneha Pandya, said, “Aarav is very hardworking who is always curious to know about ongoing trends in technology and automation. Aarav is an expert in both code and hardware. He just had three days to prepare for the IIT competition, and in that time, he completed various projects, prepared presentations, and other academic assignments.”
